The Compass of the Mind
The mind map represents a journey of exploration and reflection, showing how culture shapes identity in art and design. Its beauty not only inspires creation but also preserves ways of living, forms of expression, and collective memory. From these depths, stories emerge through language and belief, tracing the paths of generations reaching into prehistory. Elements such as form, texture, color, sound, and scent bring these stories to life, shaping experiences that awaken the senses and root memory in both tangible and intangible ways, where our bodies read, collect, and observe through all five senses, often interacting with one another. As Rumi reminds us: “The soul has been given its own ears to hear things the mind does not understand.”
Beyond their aesthetic value, these elements encourage belonging, sustain cultural knowledge, and promote dialogue, while leaving traces that endure long after the moment fades. Two word traces, such as space and symbol illuminate the richness of culture in our time and inspire thoughtful creation, reflecting both my personal journey and my dedication to honoring those I come from.
